Program Manager – Pakistan

About the role

Smile Train is seeking a Program Manager to lead its cleft care initiatives across Pakistan. The role serves as the primary operational contact and local representative, managing partner relationships, overseeing program quality, and aligning activities with regional and global strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main relationship manager for treatment and non‑treatment partners, including hospitals, government agencies, training institutions, and health‑sector networks.
• Support partner onboarding, ensuring understanding of Smile Train protocols, reporting requirements, contractual obligations, and safety and quality standards.
• Facilitate communication between partners, regional leadership, and headquarters to ensure compliance and timely action.
• Conduct due‑diligence, needs assessments, and regular site visits to evaluate program quality, safety, effectiveness, and coverage.
• Develop annual program plans with measurable objectives aligned to global strategy, country priorities, and budget parameters.
• Manage program budgets, track expenditures, review funding applications, approve vendor invoices, and ensure funds are used appropriately.
• Monitor partner performance and program data, including safe cleft interventions, professionals trained, and key performance indicators.
• Coordinate capacity‑building activities, workshops, audits, and training in collaboration with regional teams and subject‑matter experts.
• Ensure timely submission of treatment reports, grant reports, partner documentation, and other administrative requirements.
• Identify, escalate, and help resolve compliance, regulatory, financial, safety, quality, or reputational risks.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel frequently, including to remote or underserved areas.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships and navigate complex health‑sector environments.
• Strong organizational skills to oversee budgets, reporting, and compliance processes.
