Project Accountant

About the role

Zones, a global IT solutions provider, is looking for a Project Accountant to ensure accurate project setup, compliance, and financial closeout. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and auditors to manage invoicing, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Review client contract documentation and input data into the project accounting system in line with contract terms and corporate guidelines.
• Drive first‑time quality data entry and maintain accurate project records.
• Create, revise, post, and archive invoice packets; support sub‑consultant invoice payments.
• Execute project closeout activities, including complex reconciliations and work‑in‑process analysis.
• Provide detailed analysis and research to answer internal and external client inquiries.
• Serve as liaison during audits and conduct risk assessments on projects.
• Analyze accounts receivable and offer guidance to peers on system maintenance and troubleshooting.
