Project Director - Embedded Systems

About the role

TeReSol (Private) Limited is hiring two Project Directors for embedded systems, based in DHA Phase II, Islamabad. The role leads complex embedded systems development projects from planning through execution and delivery, managing multidisciplinary engineering teams while keeping quality, timelines and project objectives on track.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end embedded systems development projects.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management and timely delivery.
• Provide technical leadership in embedded software, firmware, hardware integration and system architecture.
• Guide engineering teams in C/C++, microcontroller platforms, SoC integration, embedded Linux and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Oversee hardware-software co-design, board bring-up, peripheral interfacing and system-level troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with senior management, clients and cross-functional teams, monitor progress, resolve technical challenges and give regular status reports.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive continuous improvement in development processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience in embedded systems development and engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading major embedded projects and multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery, technical problem-solving and resource management.

Required skills

• Embedded systems architecture, firmware development and system integration.
• C/C++ and low-level embedded programming.
• ARM Cortex-M, AVR, PIC or similar microcontrollers and SoCs.
• Embedded Linux and RTOS platforms such as Free RTOS or Zephyr.
• Device drivers, peripheral interfacing and debugging tools such as GDB, JTAG, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Leadership, decision-making, communication and stakeholder management.
