Project Engineering Analyst (Short‑Term, NPSA‑8)

About the role

UNDP is seeking a Project Engineering Analyst for a short‑term assignment within its Resilience, Environment and Climate Change Unit (RECCU) in Pakistan. The analyst will support the design, implementation and monitoring of climate‑resilient projects that address the impacts of recent floods and promote sustainable development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of engineering components of climate‑change adaptation projects.
• Collect, analyse and interpret data on environmental risks, infrastructure vulnerability and community needs.
• Support the preparation of project proposals, work plans, budgets and technical reports.
• Coordinate with government agencies, civil‑society partners and UN stakeholders to ensure alignment with the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
• Monitor project progress, identify challenges and propose corrective actions.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering, environmental science or a related field.
• Experience in project management or engineering analysis within development or humanitarian contexts.
• Familiarity with climate‑change impacts, especially flood‑related risks.
• Ability to work in a multicultural team and communicate findings clearly.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Pakistan for the duration of the assignment.
