Project Management Specialist

About the role

UNDP is seeking a Project Management Specialist to support its Resilience, Environment and Climate Change (RECCU) portfolio in Pakistan. The specialist will work closely with government partners, civil society and UNDP teams to design, implement and monitor climate‑resilient development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and reporting of climate‑change and resilience projects across Pakistan.
• Coordinate with national and sub‑national stakeholders to ensure alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
• Monitor project performance, manage budgets, and prepare timely progress reports for donors and partners.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity‑building activities for project teams and local partners.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation measures to keep projects on track.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in environmental studies, development studies, project management or a related field.
• Proven experience managing development or climate‑change projects in a multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Familiarity with UN development frameworks and donor reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with fluency in English.
