Property Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Property Accountant to manage the financial operations of our property portfolio. This remote position supports properties located in Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore and reports directly to the Vice President of Property Accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Manage bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash balances.
• Process weekly accounts payable check runs and resolve AP issues.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assist property managers with expense analysis, accruals and CAM reconciliations.
• Calculate management fees and owner distributions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, bank wires and transfers.
• Prepare property budgets and lender reserve draw requests.
• Maintain fixed‑asset depreciation/amortization schedules.
• Calculate straight‑line rent and other GAAP adjustments.
• Ensure monthly close deadlines are communicated and achieved.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (property accounting preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Yardi is highly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
