Purchasing Officer

About the role

Munck Civil Engineering A/S is seeking a highly organized Purchasing Officer to support the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) project in Faisalabad. The role will manage procurement activities, ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and quality‑focused acquisition of materials, equipment, and services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for project materials, equipment, tools, and services.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, contractors, and vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery timelines.
• Request quotations, compare offers, and negotiate competitive prices and commercial terms.
• Prepare purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and resolve supply issues.
• Maintain accurate records of suppliers, quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with project, engineering, logistics, finance, and other departments to fulfill procurement requirements.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and alternative suppliers without compromising quality.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, project specifications, and local regulations.
• Provide regular updates on procurement status, pending orders, deliveries, and potential risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure or engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation and price negotiation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and supplier‑management abilities.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Urdu or Punjabi is an advantage.
