Workshop Mechanic

About the role

Munck Civil Engineering A/S is seeking a skilled Workshop Mechanic to join the Wastewater Treatment Plant project in Faisalabad. You will be responsible for keeping all project vehicles, machinery, and tools in safe, reliable, and efficient condition, directly supporting the project's operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical maintenance on construction and heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, generators, and pumps.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and execute effective repairs to minimise downtime.
• Use workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly during all maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and technical instructions to carry out precise maintenance and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Maintain accurate service records for all repair and maintenance work.
• Respond promptly to urgent breakdowns, prioritising tasks under pressure.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workshop operations and meet project deadlines.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations at all times.
• Monitor equipment condition and recommend preventive maintenance actions.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in construction or heavy‑industry environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and diesel engine systems.
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and technical documentation.
• Good organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluency in English is an advantage; proficiency in Urdu or Punjabi preferred.
