Qualitative Research Manager

About the role

The Manager – Qualitative will lead and manage end‑to‑end qualitative research projects for a leading market research agency. You will be responsible for designing methodologies, moderating fieldwork, analysing data and delivering actionable insights to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead qualitative research projects from proposal development through final delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met.
• Design and moderate focus groups, in‑depth interviews, ethnographic studies, online communities and immersion projects.
• Analyse transcripts, recordings and field notes to generate consumer insights and strategic recommendations.
• Prepare high‑quality reports, presentations and executive summaries, and present findings to senior client stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, act as the senior point of contact and identify opportunities for repeat business.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals, pitch presentations and case‑study creation.
• Mentor and develop junior research staff, allocate project responsibilities and ensure team performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Social Sciences, Psychology or related field.
• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in qualitative research, consumer insights or market research.
• Proven project management and team‑leadership abilities.
• Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication, storytelling and presentation capabilities.
