Quality Control Manager – Ophthalmology

About the role

We are seeking a senior Quality Control Manager to lead QC operations for ophthalmology products in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment in Rawalpindi. The role reports to senior leadership and requires a results‑driven professional with deep expertise in pharmaceutical quality systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage analytical testing of raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished products.
• Oversee method validation, process validation, and equipment qualification protocols.
• Ensure 100% adherence to GMP, GLP and international regulatory standards.
• Review, approve and maintain QC documentation, including SOPs, specifications and technical reports.
• Investigate Out‑of‑Specification results, deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Act as primary liaison with DRAP and other regulatory authorities, supporting audits and submissions.
• Mentor and manage QC laboratory teams to maintain high performance and safety standards.

Required profile

• B.Pharm/Pharm‑D or MSc in Chemistry.
• 10‑15 years of experience in pharmaceutical quality control.
• Mandatory experience with ophthalmology products.
• Background in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Strong command of analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV spectroscopy and FTIR.
• In‑depth knowledge of pharmaceutical quality systems.
• Excellent documentation and regulatory compliance skills.
