Regional Sales Manager

About the role

The Regional Sales Manager will lead sales and distribution activities across an assigned cluster, ensuring smooth operations and sustained growth for Zong products. This role requires close collaboration with franchise partners, distributors, and internal teams to drive market penetration and maintain strong business relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all sales and distribution activities within the assigned cluster.
• Conduct regular market visits to monitor stock availability and increase market penetration.
• Enforce distribution policies and maintain discipline across the territory.
• Supervise Grid Managers and guide their teams to achieve targets.
• Evaluate potential outlets based on shop count, coverage, financial strength, logistics, brand affiliation, and reputation.
• Communicate SOPs, targets, and trade promotions to channel partners.
• Ensure the sales team is fully trained and knowledgeable about all company products.
• Maintain professional relationships with franchises, distributors, and trade partners.
• Coordinate timely payments of incentives, commissions, and payouts.
• Monitor adherence to pricing and margin policies throughout the sales channel.
• Ensure sufficient POS materials are available and displayed prominently.
• Address and resolve commission, payout, and legal queries from channel partners.
• Identify challenges faced by franchise and retail channels and communicate them to senior management.
• Collaborate with Trade Marketing to coordinate BTL activities, promotions, and special events.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree or higher.
• Preferably 4+ years of relevant sales or distribution experience.
