Remote Cyber Security Analyst – Part‑Time

About the role

We are seeking a remote, part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to join a global technology leader. The analyst will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and help safeguard critical infrastructure and data across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS solutions.
• Investigate security incidents, determine scope, impact and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to reduce risk and prevent future breaches.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
• Prepare detailed incident reports documenting findings, actions taken and recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys).
• Understanding of security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001 or CIS Controls.
• Ability to analyse logs and network traffic to spot anomalies.
• Experience following incident‑response procedures.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
