Remote ElectronJS Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Remote ElectronJS Engineer to join a global technology leader on a contract basis. You will build and maintain high‑performance desktop applications that run on Windows, macOS and Linux, supporting a mission‑critical product used worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross‑platform desktop applications using ElectronJS.
• Collaborate with product, design and backend teams to deliver features aligned with the roadmap.
• Debug, profile, and optimise existing code to improve performance and reduce technical debt.
• Write clean, well‑documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions to ensure reliability and scalability.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience building desktop applications with ElectronJS or similar frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, with solid understanding of asynchronous and event‑driven programming.
• Experience with Node.js and package managers such as npm or yarn.
• Proficient debugging using Chrome DevTools and Electron’s tooling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git.
