Remote Mechanical Engineer – Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Mechanical Engineer on a contract basis to develop and optimise mechanical systems for a global manufacturing leader. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyse and test mechanical components and systems to meet project requirements.
• Create detailed technical drawings, schematics and documentation using CAD software.
• Perform structural, thermal and fluid‑dynamics simulations (FEA, CFD) to validate designs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure cost‑effective production and quality control.
• Conduct failure analysis and recommend design improvements based on test results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in mechanical design and analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with international teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
• Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials science and relevant industry standards.
