Remote Rust Developer – Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Rust Developer to join a global software development leader on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to high‑performance, system‑level applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Rust‑based applications and libraries with a focus on speed and reliability.
• Write idiomatic Rust code following best practices for safety, concurrency, and efficiency.
• Integrate Rust components into existing multi‑language systems alongside cross‑functional teams.
• Profile, debug, and optimise algorithms and data structures for low‑latency, high‑throughput workloads.
• Participate in code reviews and influence architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in Rust and its ecosystem (Cargo, Clippy, Rustfmt).
• Strong background in systems programming, memory management, and concurrent programming.
• Experience with performance profiling and debugging tools for Rust applications.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and optimisation techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed, remote team environment.
