Remote Type Training Instructor (Asia-Pacific)

About the role

Magnetic Group is looking for a Type Training Instructor to join its Training team remotely from the Asia-Pacific region, preferably from Malaysia, the Philippines or Indonesia. The instructor delivers theoretical and practical aircraft type training according to approved programmes and within the scope of approvals, working closely with the training team to meet aviation regulations and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver theoretical and practical aircraft type training on-site and online, in line with approved programmes, EASA Part-147 and Part-66 requirements and company standards
• Travel across Asia to customer locations as needed to support training delivery
• Support examinations, including acting as examiner or invigilator, and help build examination question banks
• Help plan courses and improve syllabi, training needs analyses and training materials
• Work with the training team to ensure quality, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction

Required profile

• Aircraft maintenance education with at least 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience and 3 years of aircraft type training instructor experience under EASA Part-147 and Part-66, or an equivalent framework
• Valid EASA Part-66 licence or equivalent national licence, with experience on A320 and B737 (additional type ratings are an advantage)
• Willingness to travel extensively within Asia
• Professional fluency in English

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of EASA Part-66, Part-147, ICAO requirements and aircraft maintenance training principles
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to teach technical material to diverse audiences
• Strong computer skills
