Remote UI Engineer – Contract

About the role

We are seeking a skilled UI Engineer to join a global leader in software development on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable user interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible, and performant UI components using modern frameworks.
• Translate wireframes and mockups into functional, pixel‑perfect user interfaces.
• Ensure cross‑browser and cross‑device compatibility while maintaining design system consistency.
• Identify and resolve rendering and load‑time bottlenecks to optimise UI performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices and accessibility standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience building UI components for web applications.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and UI/UX fundamentals.
• Ability to work collaboratively with designers, product owners, and engineers.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
