Research & Development Manager - Snack Products

About the role

A snack manufacturing company in Lahore is looking for a Research & Development Manager to lead innovation and strengthen its product range. The role covers leading the R&D team, developing new products, improving existing recipes and keeping food safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design and development of new snack products, from concept and formulation to production.
• Improve existing products by optimising ingredients and processes for taste, quality and cost.
• Carry out market research to identify trends and consumer preferences.
• Ensure new products meet regulatory standards and food safety requirements.
• Work with production, quality assurance and marketing teams on successful product launches.
• Mentor and develop the R&D team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years in R&D within the food industry, with a focus on snack manufacturing.
• At least 2 years in a managerial role.

Required skills

• Strong leadership, creativity and problem-solving.
• In-depth knowledge of food formulation and processing.
• Preferred: product testing, sensory evaluation and a track record of successful product launches.
