Research Specialist

About the role

Troxis IT Solutions is seeking a Research Specialist to drive research‑led growth, strategic planning, technology adoption, and process improvement. The role is highly research‑oriented and technology‑driven, requiring the ability to investigate markets, competitors, emerging technologies and translate findings into actionable strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market, industry, competitor, customer, technology and business research.
• Analyze business processes and projects to identify gaps, inefficiencies, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Develop research‑backed growth, marketing, project and process‑improvement strategies.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for AI, automation, digitisation and workflow optimisation.
• Research and assess AI models, automation platforms, SaaS tools, APIs and emerging technologies, using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity.
• Support the Marketing & Research Head in creating marketing plans, growth strategies and campaigns, and work cross‑functionally with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product, Engineering and HR.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Economics, IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in research, strategy, business analysis, growth, consulting, technology or marketing.
• Strong research, analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven understanding of AI, automation, SaaS and emerging digital platforms.
• Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with AI models and prompting (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity).
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted research and automation workflows.
• Ability to independently research unfamiliar topics and convert findings into actionable strategies.
