Resident Network Security Engineer (Fortinet)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer with deep expertise in Fortinet security solutions and enterprise networking. The role involves designing, deploying, and supporting complex security projects for enterprise and service‑provider customers.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, deploy and manage FortiGate NGFWs, including firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, security profiles and HA clustering.
• Administer FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer for centralized logging, reporting and policy management.
• Work with FortiMail, FortiWeb, FortiAuthenticator, FortiNAC, FortiPAM and FortiSandbox as required by customer projects.
• Design and support SD‑WAN, segmentation and SASE solutions using Fortinet technologies.
• Troubleshoot routing (OSPF, BGP, IS‑IS), switching (STP, LACP, EtherChannel) and WAN technologies (MPLS, IPsec, GRE) in multi‑vendor environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with Fortinet firewalls and enterprise network security.
• Proven ability to manage customer escalations, deliver projects on time and work independently.

Required skills

• Fortinet FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiMail, FortiWeb, FortiAuthenticator, FortiNAC, FortiPAM, FortiSandbox.
• TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, subnetting, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, IS‑IS), switching (STP, LACP, EtherChannel).
• MPLS, IPsec, GRE, SD‑WAN, SASE.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Huawei networking platforms.
