Restaurant Cashier

About the role

The Cashier role at Anarkali’s Rawalpindi restaurant is a full‑time, on‑site position focused on delivering a smooth and friendly guest experience. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling orders, payments and ensuring the counter area remains tidy and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer orders and payments accurately, issuing receipts for cash and electronic transactions.
• Greet guests, answer basic menu and pricing questions, and direct them as needed.
• Coordinate with serving staff and kitchen to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, organized counter and adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Balance the cash drawer at the end of shifts and follow company cash‑handling policies.
• Support the team during peak periods to keep service flow smooth.

Required profile

• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work reliably in a fast‑paced environment, including peak hours.
• Reliability, punctuality and the capacity to stand for extended periods.
• Minimum secondary school education; fluency in local languages and functional English preferred.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
