About the role

The Restaurant Front Desk Receptionist greets guests, manages reservations and ensures a smooth, welcoming experience from the moment visitors enter the venue. This position is essential for maintaining high customer satisfaction in a fast‑paced dining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and attended to.
• Take, confirm, and manage reservations via phone, email or online platforms.
• Maintain and update the reservation book and waitlist, providing accurate wait times.
• Answer incoming calls professionally and provide information about the menu, hours and special events.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns with patience and professionalism.
• Keep the front‑desk area tidy, organized and stocked with up‑to‑date menus and promotional material.
• Coordinate with waitstaff, kitchen and management to communicate seating preferences, special requests and dietary restrictions.
• Process payments or cash check‑outs where required, ensuring accuracy.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in a receptionist or customer‑service role, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to stay calm and efficient in a high‑pressure, fast‑moving environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Experience using POS (point of sale) platforms.
