Roblox Game Developer – Lua Scripting & Game Development

About the role

We are seeking a creative Roblox Game Developer to design, build, and enhance engaging games on the Roblox platform. You will collaborate with our creative and technical teams to turn concepts into polished, scalable experiences that retain players and drive revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Roblox games and gameplay systems using Lua/Luau and Roblox Studio.
• Translate design documents into functional mechanics such as inventories, quests, leaderboards, rewards, shops, and in‑game purchases.
• Integrate Roblox monetization features, including Game Passes, Developer Products, and subscriptions.
• Create responsive UI for desktop, mobile, tablet, and console.
• Optimize performance, loading times, networking, and server stability.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and technical issues.
• Implement secure client‑server architecture and protect against exploits.
• Collaborate with designers, 3D artists, animators, and other developers to integrate assets.
• Analyze player feedback and data to improve retention, engagement, and monetization.
• Maintain organized, reusable, and well‑documented code and support live operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and publishing games on Roblox.
• Strong knowledge of Lua/Luau and Roblox Studio.
• Understanding of Roblox services, RemoteEvents, DataStores, ModuleScripts, and client‑server architecture.
• Experience building multiplayer gameplay systems and virtual economies.
• Ability to optimize games for various devices and connection speeds.
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Portfolio or links to Roblox games you have contributed to.
