Sciences Coordinator (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)

About the role

Profyd, an education support company based in Pakistan that delivers online science lessons to international students, is looking for a qualified Sciences Coordinator in Lahore. The role oversees the science teaching department covering Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Combined Science, and suits people with a strong sciences background who want to move into academic leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the Sciences department and manage its teachers of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Combined Science
• Develop, review and standardize science lesson plans, worksheets and assessments aligned with international curricula
• Conduct class observations and give targeted feedback to science teachers
• Monitor student progress in Sciences and devise improvement strategies
• Train, onboard and mentor new science educators
• Maintain departmental records, class schedules and academic reports
• Work with management and other coordinators to align cross-departmental goals
• Manage and resolve student or teacher escalations related to Sciences

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Education or a related field (Physics, Chemistry, Biology preferred)
• Proven experience in teaching or academic coordination in Sciences
• Strong understanding of international science curricula (GCSE, O-Level, A-Level, IGCSE)
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to manage a multi-subject sciences team; online or hybrid education experience is an advantage
