SecOps Security Engineer (L2/L3) – Network & Security Operations

About the role

NorthBay Solutions is seeking a Senior Security Engineer (L2/L3) to join its 24x7 Security Operations Center. The role focuses on managing and hardening enterprise network security devices and supporting a broad set of security technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Check Point, Palo Alto, and Fortinet firewalls.
• Implement and review firewall policies, ACLs, NAT, and security rules.
• Administer WAF, IPS, VPN, MFA, and proxy security solutions.
• Support endpoint security platforms including EDR, DLP, and antivirus.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and review logs and alerts.
• Assist with audit, compliance, and security governance requirements.
• Execute security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and ITSM processes.
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and operational reports.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery activities and readiness exercises.

Required profile

• 4–10 years of experience in IT security operations supporting enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident response capabilities.
• Relevant certifications such as Check Point (CCSA/CCSE), Palo Alto (PCNSA/PCNSE), Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Security+ or similar.
