Security Operations Center Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Security Operations Center Analyst to join our cyber security operations team. The analyst will perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 monitoring, triage alerts and incidents, and help automate and improve SOC processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 analysis, handling alerts, triage, and incident response.
• Assist in automating SOC tasks and developing security analytics and detection signatures.
• Support event parsing, log collection, storage, and continuous monitoring.
• Work with the SIEM platform, preferably IBM QRadar, to tune and optimize detection rules.
• Collaborate with the cyber security team to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.

Required profile

• Experience as a SOC Analyst or in a similar cyber security operations role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in process documentation.
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISM or CISSP.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SIEM platforms, preferably IBM QRadar.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell or Python (a plus).
• Familiarity with automation of SOC workflows and development of detection signatures.
