Senior Accountant – Canadian Accounting

About the role

Recruit AI is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant specialized in Canadian accounting to join its Islamabad team. The role is full‑time and involves managing complete accounting cycles for multiple Canadian clients with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full‑cycle accounting processes, including month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Prepare, review and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Canadian standards.
• Perform bank, credit‑card and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Prepare and file sales‑tax returns and other statutory filings.
• Review bookkeeping entries for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Support audits, financial reviews and tax preparation activities.

Required profile

• CPA or ACCA qualification with at least five years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in an outsourced or firm environment.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and excellent written communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client entities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Experience using cloud‑based accounting software.
• In‑depth knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and accounting standards.
