Accountant

About the role

Zaeem Foods, a well‑established snacks and spices manufacturer in Rawalpindi, is looking for an Accountant to ensure accurate financial record‑keeping and support day‑to‑day accounting operations. The role will help maintain reliable financial information for production and business activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments in the accounting system.
• Maintain ledgers, vouchers, invoices and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, supplier and customer accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support and expense tracking.
• Monitor inventory‑related accounting records and coordinate with production and procurement teams.
• Prepare periodic financial summaries, reconciliations and reports for management review.
• Support tax documentation, audit preparation and compliance with accounting requirements.
• Safeguard confidential financial information and follow internal controls.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Ability to prepare accurate reconciliations for bank, cash, supplier, customer and inventory.
• Strong attention to detail when checking invoices, vouchers, payments and transaction entries.
• Professional coordination with production, procurement, sales, suppliers and management.
• Integrity, confidentiality and ability to meet recurring reporting deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering and organized reporting.
• Experience using accounting software and maintaining properly supported digital and physical records.
