Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Senior Accountant to join our Finance team supporting a UK business unit. The role involves accurate maintenance of financial records, preparation of monthly analysis reports, and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Recognise revenue according to IFRS 15 and company policies, updating detailed monthly revenue reports.
• Review all costs and invoices to ensure prepaid costs and accruals are posted correctly each month.
• Recognise new leases and maintain lease schedules in line with IFRS 16.
• Maintain monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Upload local statutory accounts to Dynamics GP and Dynamics 365 each month.
• Reconcile local statutory accounts to management accounts (IFRS) on a monthly basis.
• Update bank transactions weekly and analyse cash surplus or deficit.
• Manage fixed‑asset additions, disposals and reconciliations.
• Prepare accounts‑receivable ageing reports and provide related assistance.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with solid experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong understanding of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial transactions.
• Excellent communication, business acumen and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
• Knowledge of IFRS 16 lease accounting.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
