Senior Accountant – UK Accounting

About the role

Johnson Smith & Co is seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join its Lahore office. This permanent, full‑time position offers an ACCA affiliate or part‑qualified professional the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of UK clients and develop within a client‑focused accounting practice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and finalise year‑end accounts accurately and within deadlines.
• Handle corporation tax computations and submissions.
• Prepare and submit accounts and tax returns using IRIS and TaxCALC.
• Manage bookkeeping, reconciliations and day‑to‑day accounting tasks.
• Work with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and HMRC regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reporting standards.
• Assist senior team members with client portfolio management.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of UK‑based accounting experience.
• ACCA affiliate or part‑qualified (actively pursuing ACCA).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability and good communication skills.
• Effective time‑management and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IRIS and TaxCALC.
• Experience using Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
