Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant – Fluent English

About the role

The Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant will lead the AR function, ensuring timely invoicing, collection and accurate customer account maintenance while supporting cash‑flow and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, collections and account reconciliations.
• Issue customer invoices and statements promptly and monitor overdue balances.
• Review and approve credit notes, adjustments and write‑offs in line with company policy.
• Lead, supervise and mentor the Accounts Receivable team, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies and resolve billing disputes.
• Monitor customer credit limits and recommend actions to mitigate credit risk.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of receivable accounts and prepare aging and collection performance reports.
• Analyse receivable trends and provide recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails; assist internal and external audits.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and support ERP/accounting system enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CA, CMA or equivalent) preferred.
• 3‑5 years of accounting experience with significant exposure to accounts receivable and team supervision.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership abilities.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
