About the role
We are seeking a highly senior backend engineer to lead architecture and delivery of AI‑first backend services. This is a high‑ownership, fully remote position where you will translate ambiguous product needs into production‑ready solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and own backend services using NestJS and TypeScript, from schema definition to production deployment.
- Make independent architecture decisions focused on scalability, maintainability, reliability, and security.
- Build and maintain GraphQL APIs across a microservices environment.
- Own database design, optimization, and reliability for PostgreSQL.
- Define technical direction, set quality standards, and enforce them for both AI‑generated and manually written code.
Required profile
- Proven experience at Lead Engineer or Architect level, with a track record of owning end‑to‑end backend systems.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment and make strong technical decisions with minimal guidance.
