Senior Backend Developer (PHP / Laravel)

About the role

E Technologies is seeking a Senior Backend Developer with deep expertise in PHP and Laravel to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend applications, APIs and services for its product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend applications and RESTful APIs using PHP 8+ and Laravel.
• Architect secure, scalable, and maintainable backend systems, including authentication, authorisation, and complex business workflows.
• Design and optimise MySQL databases, write complex queries, manage indexes, and ensure data integrity.
• Implement Laravel queues, jobs, events, listeners, scheduled tasks and background processing.
• Develop caching solutions with Redis and Laravel Cache.
• Integrate third‑party APIs, payment gateways, email services and AWS S3 storage.
• Apply security best practices (OWASP) to prevent common vulnerabilities.
• Write clean, SOLID‑compliant code, automated tests and conduct code reviews.
• Investigate and resolve production defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional backend development experience with strong PHP and Laravel expertise.
• Proven experience delivering production‑level Laravel applications.
• Advanced knowledge of PHP 8+, OOP, namespaces and modern PHP practices.
• Deep understanding of Laravel architecture, service container, middleware and lifecycle.
• Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs for web and mobile.
• Excellent problem‑solving, debugging and analytical skills.
• Professional English communication ability.
