Senior Cloud Engineer (GCP, Azure, Terraform, CI/CD)

About the role

A consultancy firm is looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to support GSK's cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, GitHub, Terraform, CI/CD and DevOps. The role is senior-level and requires demonstrable professional experience managing cloud infrastructure in production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, manage and support GCP services such as Compute Engine, VPC networking, subnets, firewall rules, Cloud Storage, IAM, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud DNS, Cloud NAT, Load Balancing, Cloud Logging and Monitoring.
• Manage GitHub repositories, branches, permissions, pull requests, code reviews and merge conflicts, including branch protection rules, CODEOWNERS, GitHub Actions, reusable workflows, self-hosted runners, secrets, Dependabot and deployment approvals.
• Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules, manage remote state files, backend configurations, variables and automated deployments across GCP and Azure.
• Develop and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps, covering infrastructure provisioning, code validation, testing, security checks and application deployments.
• Support Azure Virtual Machines, VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Storage Accounts, Private Endpoints, Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics, as well as hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity.
• Work with development, security and platform teams to keep cloud environments secure, reliable and automated.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP and Azure.
• Advanced knowledge of Terraform, IaC, reusable modules and remote state management.
• Proficiency in Git and GitHub, including branching strategies and code reviews.
• Experience building and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, logging, access management and production troubleshooting.
• Relevant GCP, Azure or Terraform certifications are preferred.
