Senior Collections Specialist

About the role

Motive is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist to lead advanced collections initiatives. You will act as a subject‑matter expert, drive optimal recovery outcomes, and support the development of the collections team while ensuring operational stability.

Key responsibilities

• Own high‑risk dunning workflows, prioritize by exposure, and adjust cadence to maximize recovery while preserving the customer experience.
• Manage larger, complex account portfolios, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely collections, especially during peak periods.
• Serve as the primary expert for escalated or complex collections inquiries, providing case resolution and support.
• Identify root‑cause patterns, recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce recurring issues.
• Consistently exceed collection targets and KPIs related to case closures, outreach, and account retention.
• Represent collections expertise on cross‑team financial and operational projects (e.g., ERP, Salesforce, Zuora, spreadsheet initiatives).
• Handle ad‑hoc assignments and support additional projects beyond core duties.
• Deliver accurate cash forecasting and support period cut‑offs during monthly close activities.
• Maintain and improve the integrity of collections data in core systems and update SOPs to scale processes.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in collections or credit management.
• Proven ability to manage complex account portfolios and handle escalated cases.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on data integrity.
• Experience working with ERP, Salesforce, and Zuora platforms.
• Ability to lead process‑improvement initiatives and mentor team members.
