Senior Communications Manager

About the role

The Senior Communications Manager will lead internal and external communication initiatives for British American Tobacco in Pakistan, focusing on Tobacco Harm Reduction (THR) campaigns for Modern Oral products. Reporting to the Head of External Affairs, the role combines strategic messaging, media relations, and regulatory compliance to support the company’s responsible business agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communications plans aligned with group priorities.
• Manage the corporate website, ensuring high‑quality, up‑to‑date content.
• Oversee the design, editing, and production of corporate publications, including the Annual Review.
• Lead communication strategies for THR campaigns, handling media relations and regulatory messaging.
• Coordinate legal approvals for all communications material.
• Ensure budget, resource, and timeline management for all deliverables.
• Collaborate with PTC Leadership, regional CORA teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication initiatives.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in corporate communications or public relations.
• Proven track record in managing large‑scale communication projects and campaigns.
• Strong understanding of regulatory environments, especially in the tobacco sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead a small team and work with senior leadership.
