Senior Cook / Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Trio by Maham Café is looking for a dedicated Senior Cook / Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations in its busy DHA Phase 4 location. The successful candidate will combine strong cooking abilities with a keen eye for hygiene and efficiency, helping to maintain the café’s high standards of food quality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and presentation standards.
• Assist with daily kitchen tasks, including ingredient preparation, stock management and workstation organization.
• Ensure consistent food quality, portion control and proper storage to minimise waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations at all times.
• Support the Head Chef during peak service periods and help train junior kitchen staff when needed.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience as a Cook, Senior Cook or Kitchen Assistant, preferably in cafés or restaurants.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and overall kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good teamwork, communication and organisational abilities.
• Passion for food with attention to detail.
