Senior Deputy Manager – Costing & Controlling

About the role

The Senior Deputy Manager – Costing & Controlling will lead product costing, inventory valuation and cost analysis within a manufacturing environment. The role provides accurate cost information, monitors production expenses and supports plant leadership with financial insights to drive efficiency and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control production costs to ensure operational efficiency.
• Develop, maintain and review standard costing structures for products, materials and processes.
• Conduct variance analysis on material, labor and overhead costs and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform standard‑versus‑actual cost analysis and identify key cost drivers.
• Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) costs and ensure accuracy in the ERP system.
• Support plant leadership with timely costing reports and financial analysis.
• Participate in Production Control meetings, providing financial input.
• Coordinate periodic physical stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly cost, inventory and management dashboard reports.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, warehouse and finance teams to strengthen cost controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and annual cost planning exercises.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements and accounting policies.

Required profile

• CA/ACCA finalist with an MBA.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in the automotive sector.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and focus on process improvement.
