Senior Design & Application Engineer (PMT)

About the role

Avanceon, a multinational corporation active in automation, control systems integration, energy management solutions and support services, is looking for a skilled automation engineer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation. The role covers the design, development and commissioning of automation systems, with strong expertise in PLCs, DCS and associated instrumentation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automation system architectures, I/O lists and control philosophies, and prepare and review functional design specifications, cause-and-effect diagrams and control narratives.
• Configure and program PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, etc.) and DCS platforms (Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa, etc.), and develop HMI/SCADA graphics and dashboards.
• Take part in FAT and SAT, lead or support on-site commissioning, loop checking and start-up, and troubleshoot and optimise control systems to meet process KPIs.
• Produce as-built documentation, user manuals and training materials, and ensure compliance with IEC, ISA and local codes.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, vendors and clients, provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance staff, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• BSc in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics engineering from a recognised institute.
• At least 4-5 years of practical experience in industrial automation.
• Knowledge of process manufacturing, field instrumentation, control system installation and implementation across requirement documentation, detailed design, implementation, system integration, testing and on-site startup.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication and proven ability to build lasting relationships with customers and partners.
