Senior Electrical Technician – Production (Power Generation)

About the role

Synergy Corporation is seeking a Senior Electrical Technician for its production facility in Karachi. The role is full‑time, on‑site and focuses on maintaining and commissioning power generation equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on production machinery and power generation systems.
• Support installation, wiring, and commissioning of generators, switchgear, and control panels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Execute planned preventive maintenance and record all activities accurately.
• Assemble, wire and test low‑voltage control and power panels, including MCC, ATS, PFI, AMF and distribution boards.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
• Carry out continuity, insulation resistance, functional and other electrical tests.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to drive continuous improvement and adhere to safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience in electrical maintenance within industrial or power‑generation environments.
• Solid understanding of electricity principles and basic electrical engineering concepts.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
• Experience with generator systems, switchgear and control panels is highly beneficial.
