Senior General Duty Plant Operator

About the role

The Senior General Duty Plant Operator works on the manufacturing of beverage base and concentrate in a state-of-the-art facility, following the guidance of the supervisor and production manager. The role covers a variety of manual, automated and semi-automated production tasks, from loading materials to operating mixing, filling, sealing and labelling equipment, while helping the team meet production targets and plant KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Receive the daily production schedule and batch sheets, prepare raw materials, packaging and accessories, and arrange labels for each batch
• Verify equipment, run process control steps (data acquisition, torque, RPM, flow meters) and operate mixing, filling, sealing and labelling activities
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas, with full command of CIP operations and CIP change-over matrices
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of process equipment under supervision, and carry out shutdown maintenance tasks
• Drive or operate forklifts to move raw materials and finished goods, and weigh ingredients to reduce losses
• Complete QA checks such as ingredient inspection, torque testing, weight verification, leakage checks and metal detector checks
• Follow HSE procedures, report incidents and near misses, and take part in shop-floor, safety and continuous improvement meetings
• Take part in KORE/ISO system implementation, write relevant documents and complete assigned trainings
• Handle non-routine tasks such as tank cleaning, air-handling unit duct cleaning, vendor support for improvement projects and supporting area leads

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in the job title, preferred 5 years
• Ability to read and write English to understand SOPs and complete records
• Flexibility to work any shift with little notice, willingness to rotate positions and to join cross-training
• Team player who follows GMP and site requirements
