Senior Indirect Tax Consultant

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Indirect Tax team. You will advise multinational clients on VAT treatment of complex transactions, support dispute resolution with tax authorities, and contribute to cross‑border tax projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a global network of VAT professionals to deliver consistent advice across jurisdictions.
• Prepare client reports, schedules, and presentations for management meetings.
• Analyse customs law, free‑trade agreements, valuation, classification and origin rules.
• Identify VAT implications for outbound investments and upcoming VAT introductions in various countries.
• Provide indirect tax expertise for audit and transaction projects.

Required profile

• Degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting.
• Minimum three years of experience in indirect tax, preferably within a Big 4 firm.
• Strong client‑facing and communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Commercial awareness, risk identification, and ability to refer complex issues appropriately.
• Project management capability with the ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines.
