Senior Manager – Accounts & Taxation (US Client Portfolio)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to act as the primary trusted adviser for a portfolio of US‑based clients. You will oversee all compliance, reporting and advisory activities, ensuring high‑quality service and proactive risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Own a US client portfolio, providing end‑to‑end advisory on compliance, reporting and tax matters.
• Lead the preparation and senior review of financial statements, federal and state tax returns (Forms 1120, 1065, 1040) and bookkeeping.
• Oversee payroll processing, sales‑tax compliance and accounts payable/receivable management.
• Monitor IRS, FASB and state regulatory updates and implement process changes without direction.
• Mentor, lead and quality‑review junior and mid‑level accountants, fostering a culture of precision and accountability.
• Identify compliance risks and planning opportunities, communicating findings clearly to clients.

Required profile

• ACCA or CA finalist (or fully qualified) in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of senior‑level experience in a US‑facing accounting practice.
• Self‑directed, initiative‑driven and capable of managing competing priorities independently.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, federal and multi‑state tax, IRS compliance and payroll regulations.
• Exceptional communication skills with US‑based clients and proven team‑leadership experience.
