Senior Manager Production

About the role

CCL Pharmaceuticals is hiring a Senior Manager Production to lead production operations at its Sundar Plant. The role ensures production plans are executed on time in line with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards, while driving continuous improvement in productivity, product quality and operational efficiency. It reports to the Associate Director Plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production operations and plan, monitor and execute production schedules to meet operational targets.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supply Chain and Engineering to coordinate cross-functionally and minimise production losses and wastage.
• Improve equipment effectiveness and ensure equipment calibration, qualification, validation and maintenance requirements are met.
• Use production dashboards and data analysis to drive continuous improvement.
• Promote a safe working environment and build production team capabilities through training.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation, including right-first-time entries.

Required profile

• Pharm-D or an equivalent degree from a recognised institution.
• 8-10 years of managerial experience managing production operations in a reputable pharmaceutical company.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling, process validation, equipment qualification and operational performance improvement.
• Ability to lead production teams, manage resources and deliver targets within approved budgets.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, cGMP, SOPs and quality compliance.
• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; effective communication and team-building.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet browsing and email.
