Senior Network Engineer

About the role

ibex. is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of its WAN and LAN infrastructure across data centers, disaster recovery sites, regional hubs, and branch offices. The role involves hands‑on troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and collaboration with internal and external teams to ensure high availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier‑1, Tier‑2, and Tier‑3 support for network incidents and service degradations.
• Maintain and upgrade network devices, including Cisco Catalyst switches, ISR/ASR routers, firewalls, and VPN appliances.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and resource utilization; conduct capacity planning and trend analysis.
• Execute configuration and change management processes in accordance with ITIL practices.
• Implement security policies, ACLs, and firewall rules in partnership with the security team.
• Manage network tools such as Orion, TACACS, SolarWinds, and configuration backup systems.
• Coordinate with carriers, respond to tickets, and participate in bridge calls for incident resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of hands‑on experience with WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and LAN/WLAN technologies (DNS, IP addressing, QoS, Spanning Tree, Multicast).
• Proven experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco ISR/ASR routers, and multi‑vendor NG‑firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortigate).
• Familiarity with SDN/SD‑WAN, public‑cloud networking, and security audit processes.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL and enterprise change management.
