Senior SAP Commerce (Hybris) Support Engineer

About the role

Abacus Consulting is seeking a Senior Support Engineer with deep expertise in SAP Commerce (Hybris) to act as the technical escalation point for complex commerce incidents. The role involves driving permanent fixes across the platform, its integrations, and mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert support for the full Hybris stack, including type system, ServiceLayer, storefront (Accelerator/Spartacus) and OCC REST APIs.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues related to Solr, JVM, caching, and transaction handling.
• Lead major incident handling, root‑cause analysis, and stakeholder communication for P1/P2 incidents.
• Maintain integrations with SAP ECC/S4, OMS, PIM, payment gateways, tax and CRM systems via Data Hub, SAP CPI, OCC APIs and Impex feeds.
• Track SLA compliance, mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to ITIL processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 6–9 years of experience supporting and developing SAP Commerce (Hybris) applications.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Commerce extensions, ServiceLayer, Spring configuration and related components.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
