Senior Solution Architect - Managed Wi-Fi Platform

About the role

A carrier-grade, cloud-native Managed Wi-Fi platform is being built, and a Senior Solution Architect with 4-6 years of experience is sought. The role combines cloud and software architecture with deep networking and Wi-Fi expertise, covering technology selection, proof of concept, development, integration, performance testing and production deployment across Azure and GCP.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the end-to-end architecture of a secure, scalable, highly available Managed Wi-Fi platform.
• Design AAA/RADIUS, FreeRADIUS, RadSec, CoA, captive portals, authentication, policy enforcement, session management and multi-tenant capabilities.
• Integrate third-party Wi-Fi APs/controllers, BSS, voucher platforms and external systems via secure REST APIs.
• Lead technology selection, PoCs, development, integration, load testing and production deployment.
• Ensure security, scalability, high availability, resilience, observability and performance on Azure/GCP.
• Oversee cloud-native deployments with Docker, Kubernetes, AKS and Infrastructure as Code.
• Implement secure API integrations using OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
• Set up monitoring, metrics, logging and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana or similar.
• Drive CI/CD and deployment automation, and work with development, infrastructure and vendor teams such as Cisco, HPE Aruba and Fortinet.

Required profile

• 4-6 years of experience in solution architecture, software/cloud engineering, networking, Wi-Fi or telecom platforms.
• Proven track record of delivering platforms from architecture through PoC, development, integration, testing and production.
• Strong knowledge of Managed Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi-as-a-Service, hotspot, ISP/AAA, NAC or telecom platforms; experience is a major advantage.
• Expertise in FreeRADIUS, RADIUS, RadSec, CoA, AAA, captive portals and managed Wi-Fi architectures.
• Experience integrating Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet or similar WLAN solutions with BSS and voucher platforms.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, API security, high availability, scalability, resilience and performance optimization.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Required skills

• REST APIs, Linux, PostgreSQL, Redis and at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java or Node.js).
• Docker, Kubernetes, AKS and/or GCP, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Technical leadership, architectural decision-making, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
