Senior Zimbra Administrator

About the role

The Senior Zimbra Administrator will lead the design, deployment, configuration and ongoing management of Zimbra Collaboration Suite environments for Excellence Delivered, a provider of enterprise AI and digital transformation services. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Pakistan and works closely with cross‑functional IT and security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install and configure Zimbra Collaboration Suite, including email, calendaring and collaboration services.
• Monitor system performance, manage user accounts, permissions and ensure high availability.
• Implement disaster‑recovery, backup and patching processes, and apply security hardening.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, optimise infrastructure and integrate Zimbra with other enterprise systems.
• Document configurations, procedures and best practices; mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Extensive experience administering Zimbra Collaboration Suite in production environments.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration skills (CentOS, Ubuntu) and shell‑scripting ability.
• Deep understanding of email protocols (SMTP, POP3, IMAP), DNS, LDAP/Active Directory and TLS/SSL security.
• Proven expertise in backup, recovery, high‑availability and disaster‑recovery solutions for messaging platforms.
• Experience integrating Zimbra with identity management, spam filtering, antivirus and firewall solutions.
• Solid networking knowledge (routing, switching, load balancing) and ability to resolve connectivity issues.
• Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with ITIL‑aligned incident, change and problem management.
