About the role
The Shutdown Manager will lead a multidisciplinary project team responsible for the overall management of shutdown and retrofit projects at refinery and oil‑&‑gas sites. The role ensures contractual obligations are met, safety goals are achieved, and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Read and analyse contracts to identify risks and plan preventive measures.
- Define, verify and control project scope, documenting and charging any extra work to the client.
- Supervise planning and field execution to control construction activities and resource efficiency.
- Ensure project execution follows the plan, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Estimate project costs and manage resources (HR, materials, equipment) within the allocated budget.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in refinery and oil‑&‑gas plant maintenance, including at least 5 years as a Shutdown Manager on the contractor side.
- Experience managing teams of 1,000+ personnel.
