Site Civil Supervisor

About the role

The Site Civil Supervisor will oversee daily civil construction activities on building projects, ensuring work is performed according to approved drawings, specifications and safety standards. This role requires close coordination with engineers, foremen and subcontractors to keep the site on schedule and maintain high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day‑to‑day civil works, including concrete, reinforcement, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, excavation and backfilling.
• Verify that all activities follow approved drawings, method statements and project requirements.
• Check levels, dimensions, alignment, formwork, reinforcement placement and overall workmanship.
• Coordinate with Site/Project Engineers on progress, manpower, material, tools and equipment needs.
• Maintain daily records of progress, manpower, material consumption and site activities.
• Identify and report drawing discrepancies, technical constraints and site issues.
• Assist in quantity measurement, progress billing, inspections, testing, snagging and final handover.
• Ensure housekeeping, HSE compliance and safe working practices on the site.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering (DAE Civil) from a recognized institute.
• 3–5 years of site experience in building or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil works, construction methods, specifications and QA/QC procedures.
• Familiarity with HSE requirements and safe site practices.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret civil/architectural drawings, BOQs and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of concrete, reinforcement, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, excavation and finishing works.
• Basic quantity measurement and material estimation.
• Experience with QA/QC inspection procedures and construction testing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD (advantageous).
